Foreigner Procedures

Document intended to identify the foreigner for the purpose of proving his legal status in Spain.

Who are the stakeholders?
- Foreigner student with permission to stay longer than six months.
Period of validity
- It will have the same period of validity as the authorization or recognition of the right that justifies its issuance, and will lose its validity when that of the aforementioned authorization occurs, for any of the reasons established by regulations for this purpose or, where appropriate, for the loss of the right to remain in Spanish territory.

- Application form foreigner ID card.
- Rate model 790, code 012.
- The application, together with the accompanying documents, must be submitted to any Office for Foreigners or Police Station of the place where you are domiciled.

Basic data of the procedure:
- Form of initiation: At the request of the interested party.
- Type of procedure: Authorizations, Licenses and Concessions.
- Subject of the procedure: CIVIL RIGHTS, FREEDOMS AND RELATIONS.
- Resolution of the procedure:
  - Bodies competent to resolve this procedure:
    - The General Directorate of Police, in accordance with the coordination criteria established by the State Secretariat for Security, in agreement with the State Secretariat for Immigration and Emigration, shall be responsible for the organization and management of the services for issuing Foreigner Identity Cards.
  - The resolution of the procedure does put an end to the administrative route.
  - Effect of the lack of resolution in this period: Dismissal (initiation at the request of the interested party).
- Resources that can be interposed:
  - Replacement
    - Organ that resolves the resource: Organ that dictated the act.
    - Period for lodging an appeal: 1 month.
  - Contentious
    - Organ that resolves the resource:
      - Contentious Court - Administrative.
      - Central Administrative Litigation Courts; Administrative Litigation Chambers of the High Court of Justice.
      - Administrative Litigation Division of the National High Court; Administrative Litigation Division of the Supreme Court.
    - Period for lodging an appeal: 2 months from the publication.
