Foreigner Procedures

Certify periods of legal residence in Spain before other bodies.

The foreigner applies for a certificate attesting to all (cumulative) periods of residence since the foreigner obtained such status.

Who are the stakeholders?
- Foreigners (EU and third country nationals) legally resident in Spain.
Period of validity
- 3 months from your expedition.
Resolution of the procedure
- The procedure must be resolved within a maximum period of five days from the entry of the application in the register of the competent body for processing. The decision must be notified within that time limit, after which no reply has been received, it will be understood that the request has been rejected.

In the event that the foreigner is not in Spanish territory at the time of the application, the General Commissariat of Foreigners and Borders will be requested, through the Spanish Consular Offices abroad.

Application for Foreigner Identity Number (NIE) and Certificates (Form EX15)
Proof of payment Tax model 790 Code 012.
Copy of the full passport, travel document, registration card or identity document if the applicant is a citizen of the European Union.

  - The procedure must be resolved within a maximum period of five days from the entry of the application in the register of the competent body for its processing.
